AI-Native 10x Factory Engineer

Full time or part timeAnywhere in the world

You will deliver production software on client engagements that run in weeks, working with agents doing a large share of the mechanical work while you hold the architecture, the failure semantics and the judgement calls.

Full time or part time, from anywhere in the world. We care what you ship, not which timezone you ship it from.

Certification is a requirement, not a perk

We hire only from the list of certified 10x Factory engineers. There is no route onto an engagement that skips it, and there is no probationary exception.

If you are not certified yet, apply anyway. Certification is the entry path rather than a barrier: an assessment against real production work, run alongside delivery rather than instead of it, taking roughly six weeks. You pay for it and we refund it in full on the day you pass.

What you will do

  • Ship production systems on fixed projects, managed teams, or embedded in a client's own squad.
  • Scope work directly with client engineering leadership, in days rather than through a proposal cycle.
  • Work the weekly loop: plan, code, feedback, then correct the plan. Something that runs, every week.
  • Use our delivery platform for scaffolding, migration, test generation and first-pass review, and know precisely where not to trust it.
  • Hand over deliberately, so the client's own engineers can run what you built.

What we look for

  • Substantial production experience: you have owned systems that other people depended on, and been on call for them.
  • Comfort with legacy. Most valuable work is adjacent to something old and load-bearing.
  • Genuine judgement about AI-assisted delivery: neither the position that it changes nothing nor that it changes everything.
  • The ability to tell a client something they do not want to hear, early, in plain language.

What we do not look for

Prompt-engineering credentials, framework fashion, or ten years in a technology that is six years old.

How to apply

Apply by certifying. We do not run a separate hiring process for this role, because the certification assessment already answers the question a hiring process is trying to answer.

You will be asked for an email address and a link to one GitHub repository you have worked on. The repository does the talking, so choose one you can defend rather than the one with the most stars.

How to apply

There is no separate application for this role. We hire from the certified list, so certification is the application. It runs alongside delivery work, takes roughly six weeks, and you are asked for an email address and one GitHub repository to start.
